The Gabba's newest Rooftop Bar Ooh La La!

Since the relaunch of C’est Bon after an extensive renovation in 2019, one of Brisbane’s most whimsical yet authentic French restaurants, now has a new rooftop area. With a host of activities and events planned for the chic spot, this is Woolloongabba’s ultimate urban space.

With a variety of seating options available including standard and high tables, Ooh La La will offer a stunning space in Winter and also a fabulous Spring/Summer spot, beckoning a long rosé session. Take in the views in a cool heritage area of Brisbane and say “Salut” to your weekend with a cocktail, wine, French Bar snacks, paint and sip sessions, or even yoga.

Featuring on the Rooftop bar menu are luxurious eats including a selection of Caviar spanning across the Siberian and Oscietra varieties.  Those that wish to continue the love affair with seafood can select from Appellation Oysters, either natural or with a Green Tomato Mignonette, a Blini Caviar set with Potato Rye Blinis, Creme Fraiche and Roe, Fraser Island – Crab with Mornay, Espelette and Tarragon or Mussels with Mouclade, Chives and Bottarga. Chef and owner Andy Ashby said “We are so excited to have a multi-level venue that has the ability to transport diners away to the setting that they choose and offer experiences that will only be elevated with our carefully curated menus and cellar selections”.

The distinctly contemporary French menu continues with other standout bites like Angus Tartare with Tomato, Cured Yolk and Tendon, and also Kingfish Crudo with Sorrel, Buttermilk and Melon.  Don’t go past the Duck Liver Parfait Eclairs and Prune and their Confit Pig Suckling Terrine with Rhubarb, Celeriac and Dill Pickles. For a beverage, start with one of Ooh La La’s signature cocktails like their ‘La Gazelle’ ~ Rhum, Passionfruit and Falernum and their ‘Saint-Germain-des-Prés’ ~ Gin, Cucumber and Elderflower. If wine is more your thing, sip away from afternoon to late with a selection of local and French wines.

For larger groups that wish to share the ultimate rooftop dining experience, the C’est Bon Fruits de Mer is a platter of Ndjula Brown Butter Queensland Prawns, Local Spanner Crab, Appelation Oysters, Mussels, Kingfish Crudo and Blini Caviar sets.
