Where to flirt with flavour. French Dining destination Bisou Bisou Opens in Brisbane!

Hot on the heels of Hotel X’s opening, Ghanem Group’s new French dining destination, Bisou Bisou, has welcomed guests in Brisbane to savour the flavours of a Parisian holiday for the tastebuds.

Building on the success of Donna Chang, Boom Boom Room Izakaya, Byblos and Blackbird Bar & Grill, Bisou Bisou General Manager Gareth Eden has brought together a formidable team of highly experienced industry veterans, head-hunted from both within the Ghanem Group brand and externally, to deliver quality cuisine and a renowned experience.

Serving both locals and hotel guests, Bisou Bisou (or “Kiss Kiss” in French), is offering a delectable menu by Head Chef Anthony Donaldson, and Executive Chef Jake Nicolson. “We are adding a modern twist to the traditional and comforting flavours of a French style brasserie,” said Anthony Donaldson. One of our hero dishes is the mouth-watering Pomme Aligot, a silky potato puree heavily laden with melted Alpine cheeses originating from the Midi Pyrenees in the South of France.

“Bisou Bisou will also boast an extensive fromage trolly featuring over twenty-five of the best French and Australian cheeses, as well as an indulgent wine menu. Our enomatic wine machine will ensure that every dish is paired with the perfect drop, no matter the vintage or rarity,” he said.

Guests can expect a quintessential French design that takes them on a journey through the streets of Paris. Lose yourself in the Aperitivo bar before immersing in the restaurant’s white-washed brick interior, sweeping antique mirrors, warm textures, and moody atmosphere. Of course, it’s not a complete French affair without pastries, so Bisou Bisou has also sought talented pastry Chef Jason Brown. Jason has reworked French classics such as Tarte Tatin – a toffee apple croustade with cinnamon ice cream and apple crisp.

Next for the Ghanem Group is Iris. An incredible Mediterranean rooftop bar and restaurant with panoramic views of Brisbane that is set to impress, still within Hotel X.
