Brisbane's Fortitude Valley gets new Cinema approval

A NEW FIVE-SCREEN CINEMA in Brisbane is coming!

It's fair to say Fortitude Valley is undergoing rapid transformation with what seems like new apartments, bars, or restaurants opening every other week.

A new cinema complex inside the Valley Metro was recently approved. Under the approved plans, the aging Valley Metro will also undergo an extensive refurbishment to the external entrance off Brunswick Street as well as inside the retail centre.

This has been long overdue and the entrance off Brunswick Street has needed a facelift for some time. As some of you know, it's currently not the most inviting entrance with (at times), "interesting" characters around.

There'll be new active shop fronts, an increased entry canopy and internal ceiling height, which aim to provide a more inviting entry point.

Inside the refurbed Valley Metro centre, there will be a new five-screen cinema, upgraded central urban common space and expanded retail offerings.
