As we head towards the end of the year, November has a myriad of events to delight, and entertain young and old. Enjoy after work on Fridays and chill out at Southbank’s “Green Jam” unlocked.

Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s (QPAC’s) much-loved free live music sessions return for a special six-week season with Green Jam Unlocked on the Melbourne Street Green from this Friday 6 November 2020. Running for over 10 years, QPAC’s Green Jam is a mainstay of Brisbane’s Friday night live music scene showcasing the best of emerging and established local artists from industry partners Queensland Conservatorium – Griffith University (QCGU), Jazz Music Institute, JMC Academy and more.

When: 5.30pm to 7.30pm for six weeks every Friday from Friday 6 November

Invite yourself to Southbank’s latest festival, involving Beer and Sausages!

eatSouthBank’s Sausage & Beer Fest hosted by The Charming Squire, will guarantee fun for all ages and pops up on the southern lawn at Little Stanley Street from Saturday 7 November to Sunday 8 November. A huge BBQ with a multicultural twist, lovers of the snag will have the chance to sample a range of worldly flavours from each restaurant and bar’s unique sausage offering including traditional Italian, Lebanese, British, Chinese style sausages and more!

See a curated series of live performances and concerts at the Tivoli

Starting with Electric Fields! Featuring the rare and beautiful voice of Zaachariaha Fielding - who often sings in his traditional language of the Anangu people - and the brilliance of producer Michael Ross, Electric Fields covers soulful pop and epic-scale electronic works, through to intensely intimate story-songs.

Keep the kids entertained at the Powerkids ART LAB

Be guided through history’s most famous stories with an arty adventure designed to unlock creativity. Igniting little imaginations, experiment with the artists of Little Match Productions in a multi-sensory experience combining storytelling, music and visual arts in fun, play-based activities for 0-5 year-olds.

Get ready to Valley Fiesta!

For more than two decades, Valley Fiesta has been Brisbane’s weekend-long extended party, showcasing the established and emerging talent of Fortitude Valley’s live music scene in new and heritage venues. At this year’s Valley Fiesta, presented by Brisbane City Council and QMusic, music fans are invited to party-on-down to a jam-packed program of homegrown acts.

Enjoy the Opera Under the Stars

As the sun sets on 2020, Opera Queensland will turn the spotlight on some of the state’s most talented opera singers, performing with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO), 60 voices of the Opera Queensland Chorus and a choir of school students, in a special, one-off event. Opera Queensland Under the Stars will be a dazzling launch for Opera Queensland’s much anticipated 2021 season and kickstart celebrations for its 40th anniversary next year.

Mark your calendars down for Brisbane’s first Fringe Festival

Wynnum Fringe is the new arts festival you've been waiting for! Jam-packed with a lineup of local talent, Wynnum-based producer and performing artist Tom Oliver, is launching a three-day fringe festival spotlighting the best of South East Queensland's home-grown talent. Centered around the festival hub of Edith Street, Wynnum Fringe will activate empty shopfronts, laneways, driveways and carparks with a variety of artistic works spanning, circus performances, cabaret, theatre, music, and art installations.
